You are required to display your boats’ navigation lights:

• Between sunset and sunrise
• During periods of reduced visibility such as when it’s foggy, or if there’s heavy rain.

If you’re operating a non-powered boat that does not have built-in navigation lights then you must carry a watertight flashlight or lantern that emits a white light.
