Preventing a Running Aground Emergency
A running aground emergency is when your boat has become lodged in a shallow water area or on an underwater object. Make sure you maintain a proper look-out and always consult a marine chart for the area in which you’ll be operating. Be aware of the water depth and the draft that your boat will require to avoid a running aground emergency.
