LONGBOW
Longbows are straight-limbed bows. The long limbs form an arc when strung. New hunters often find this more traditional bow type difficult to use because longbows don’t have ‘left-off’ points—meaning that the archer feels the full weight of the draw (about 60 lbs.) when pulling back on the string. However, with experience, longbows can feel very stable in your hands and can be more forgiving to minor mistakes, like accidental contact with tree branches upon release.
