Module 03 - Servicing & Transporting Your Sled

HOW TO USE ENCLOSED FLAT-BED TRAILERS

STEP 1

Fold down the rear door (the door will be used as a full-width ramp).

STEP 2

Follow the same process as using a Flat-Bed Trailer, starting with engaging the parking brake once the sled is in place and securing it with tie-down straps.

STEP 3

Some enclosed trailers have a tie-down bar that is placed across the skis and screwed into the trailer floor with the fastening bolt.

STEP 4

Some of the models will have D-rings in the trailer floor. In this case the sled is attached to the D-rings using ratchet straps at the front and back of the machine.

STEP 5

Once the trailer has been loaded and secured, the door can be folded back up and secured.

STEP 6

When UNLOADING a sled from an enclosed trailer make sure the towing vehicle is turned at an angle AWAY from the front door to allow enough room for the ramp and for the sled to exit.

STEP 7

Fold down the trailer door, remove all tie downs and straps and disengage the parking brake.

STEP 8

Slowly drive the machine out of the trailer and down the ramp being careful to stay clear of the towing vehicle.

STEP 9

Once unloaded, fold the door back up and secure it. Then store all tie downs and straps in the enclosed trailer.
