Module 02 - Boating Rules, Regulations, and Equipment

Re-boarding Equipment

A re-boarding device is required for any boat with a freeboard of more than 0.5 meters.

An appropriate re-boarding device (such as your boat's’ transom ladder or swim platform ladder), must be designed to allow easy re-boarding of your boat from the water. The re-boarding device must be appropriate for the size of your vessel, and cannot be part of the propulsion unit.
