Module 03 - Before Heading Out

When Fuelling a PWC, Perform the Following:

For specific information on how to fuel your PWC refer to your owner’s manual.

Step 1:
Shut down the engine.
Step 2:
Ask passengers (guests) to disembark the PWC and stay on shore.
Step 3:
Put out any open flames.
Step 4:
Remove any traces of water from the fuel system before refuelling.
Step 5:
Ensure the fuel selector switch is turned to the ‘OFF’ position.
Step 6:
For PWCs requiring mixed gasoline always pre-mix gas and oil in an approved portable container before refuelling.
Step 7:
Fill the fuel tank.
Step 8:
Tighten the fuel cap and check the engine compartment for excessive fuel odours.
Step 9:
Turn the fuel selector switch to the ‘ON’ position and restart the engine.
