Module 04 - Safe Boat Operation

Crossing a Wake

When attempting to cross a wake, reduce your speed and try to cross the wake at a 45° angle. Crossing a wake at this angle will provide your boat with more stability and control.

Always be aware of other boat traffic that may be in your path as you cross to the other side of the wake, and never attempt to jump a wake.

PWC operators should cross wakes at a 90° angle to help maintain stability.
