LOADING A DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER
Follow these steps to safely load your double action revolver:
STEP 1: Leave the hammer fully down during the loading process (this means the safety is activated).
STEP 2: Point the firearm in a safe direction.
STEP 3: Make sure nothing touches the trigger during this process.
STEP 4: Open the action by pressing the cylinder release to swing the cylinder out from the revolver and expose the chambers.
STEP 5: Clear any obstructions from the chamber and bore (clean, if required).
STEP 6: Select the correct ammunition by matching the data stamp on the firearm with the head stamp on the cartridge.
STEP 7: Place the cartridge into the chamber.
STEP 8: Close the cylinder firmly, locking the action closed.
STEP 9: Leave the hammer fully forward, unless you’re ready to fire.
