He was introduced to this amazing sport by his father. Growing up in South Africa, most of his weekends were spent either fishing for yellow fish or casting some longer lines at trout in the lakes. He started representing his country of South Africa on World Fly fishing circuit and ended up competing in 8 World Championships. He is currently the manager of Abaco Lodge together with his fiance, Lindi Blaauw where they spend nine months of the year. In between Christiaan plays host to some of the most exotic remote fly fishing destinations around the world. He is a passionate, driven individual who is always ready to share his knowledge and prepare you for the next big adventure!
